Well, after one week of constant headaches, aching teeth and random bleedings – I am still alive!  The biggest low of the whole experience was googling my symptoms and clicking on  ‘teethremoval.com,.  This guy had me freaking out for about 2 days straight when my incisions wouldn’t quit bleeding. Lol, I know, I worry a lot. I get a headache and I think I have another subdural hemo-something – not really, but speaking of which; I am pretty sure “he” is in jail for the third time since the 1st round KO, via my personal tweeter aka Amy Moeller.

ANYWAYS, I promise I will start posting more regularly for Spring Ball, or should I say Ice Bowl 2011, which is starting tomorrow!

I’ll have updates and new videos soon for the following: (I’m sure you are anxiously awaiting for them, lol)

  • Trip to Dallas with Jaimie last week!
  • More wisdom teeth drama….jk
  • Spring Ball
  • and last but not least…MY TRAINS!! Even though I have not have had much time to work on it!

Speaking of trains, I’ll end on a video of my Grandpa’s layout that my uncle Craig just posted. See the opening in the middle towards the end? That’s where I would stand on a chair for hours playing when I was little. Hope you enjoy!

So I thought I would try my imovie application for the first time on my Mac and take a couple of shots of my train! I didn’t have much time to do it or to type this because my 315 pound roommate/best friend/teammate since 6th grade wants to go to the grocery (the market?, grocery store? We Cincinnatians like to call it that and I guess some people think that is weird?).  I guess I better go, I am getting some food to show our strength coach too so I can get on a diet with food that I actually like!  Too bad I probably won’t be allowed eating any of  it though lol but its worth a try!

I purchased an Ipad in late december then noticed that a source said that the Ipad 2 was in production so a day later I packed it in the box, sold it on craigslist and luckily made 45 dollars off the transaction to put towards a new phone that I bought off craigslist too! ( YES I use craigslist all the time and NO I have not been robbed yet and YES I know I am a nerd or jerd?) Well as I finished paper #1 of 3 thats due at 5:30 today I went onto apple.com and saw that they are releasing the Ipad 2 march 11! (birthday present to myself? maaaaybbbe)  So if you like the Ipad the new ones are coming out for only 499 or you can head to craigslist and get an old one for probably around 200-250! The only thing bad about Apple always coming out with new stuff is that I just bought a Macbook Pro in January and they just came out with a new one a week ago! So I guess it is off to craigslist again tonight…

Yesterday my teacher decided to cancel class because we have three papers due on Wednesday, which gave me plenty of time to work on my Trains!! O yea, If you are wondering NO I have not started writing my papers yet since Teague commented that I needed to party more and this is how I party instead of going wild/crazy/ham on some Four Loko’s (I guess that is what a lot of people are drinking these days??) lol. ANYWAYS, I started painting my tunnel entrances, I decided to mix a bunch of different grays together just like my grandpa did on his layout which I think turned out pretty good.

After the tunnel turned out so well I decided just to finish the whole front of the mountain and paper mache all of it. While the paper mache turned out good on the mountain, it did not look as good on the ground when about half of it was dripped all over my carpet!! SO excited to clean up that mess!

I also decided to re-do a building, install a track where when the train passes a door opens in a house, and I set up some lighting but I will show that in a later post as I am in class right now!!

My First Steam Engine.

Posted: February 19, 2011 in Trains

When building my train set I knew the main engine that I wanted was a fixed-wheel older style engine rather than a diesel or electric powered one. My first idea was to get a Harry Potter Hogwarts Express (the one from the movie, and yes I know I am a nerd) engine and go with the European style theme for my lay out. I ended up purchasing one on Craigslist for $80+$20 shipping which is a deal considering they were going on Ebay for $150.

After weeks of anticipation and finally receiving the train, I opened the package in a 3rd down, game on the line -blitzing off the edge like manner only to find out that the turns were too tight for the train engine! After readjusting the track about 10 times and finally coming to the realization that it would not work I turned to ebay and sold it for $138 (first time seller and no positive reviews killed me).

A few weeks later I came across a used fixed steam engine that would normally go for 100+ new but was on sale for only $25! I was nervous about buying it at first because I didn’t know if it could make the turns but it worked out great!!

My Train Adventures Part 1!

It’s finally here, what all you 2 subscribers and 39 random hits have been waiting for! the unveiling of my TRAIN SET!!!

Here is the layout..

This is what I have so far, the train runs perfect around the track (which took forever to do) and I am beginning to start to paper mache the mountain. I would go into detail about how I got to this point and what I am going to do in the future but Jaimie is in town and i have a midterm to study for so those topics will come in later posts!!
